(1) MARKETING AND SALES FUNCTIONS
a) Budget plan
o Gather accurate data for developing half-yearly budget plan.
o Follow up with customers to achieve sales as per budget plan.
o Study & Understand the Budget plan allocated to the team, work toward achieving the budget plan and target that set forth.
o Organise discussion & recovery plan on the budget plan gap with immediate supervisor
b) Sales & Marketing Activities
o Obtain latest product / line-up information & demos from Japan HQ.
o Obtain customer / market information in region of responsibility.
o Map customers to product road map of company Strategy and Japan HQ.
o Introduce company’s latest technologies to relevant customers.
o Arrange demos to individual / group customer (marketing event).
o Identify best strategy / business model for each customer / product.
o Coordinate efforts with biz partners to realize business (based on business model).
o Track and facilitate customer project development.
o Obtain / negotiate pricing with Japan HQ to win sales order.
o Negotiate pricing with Customers to maintain profitability as set forth.
o Gather latest updates information from customers and update GPSI system.
o Plan buffer stock based on customer MP schedule and company’s components supply.
o Follow up and ensure payment as per customer credit ratings.
c) Sales and Marketing Report
o Project sheet update/ Sales Analysis Report/ Sales Trips Report or any ad hoc report.
o Help and Coordinate with Market research activities based on supervisor instructions.
o Provide marketing report on market/ product/ country specific whenever deemed necessary.
(2) INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
a) Interface with Japan
o Obtain new technologies and product road map from Japan.
o Arrangement of samples (new product) and demo from Japan.
o Price negotiation with Japan if our buying price cannot meet customer request price or market pricing.
o Delivery negotiation if customer facing delivery problems.
o Market information sharing and update with Japan counterpart.
b) Interface with other sales office (IBUs’)
o Check product/ market/ sales information if business is overlap with others overseas subsidiaries (IBUs).
o Check & Obtain “Contract Price” for transfer business and Global accounts customers.
o Update marketing information when deemed necessary.
c) Interface within company
o Regular meeting and planning with PSI group on delivery / demand input.
o Close communication within Sales & Marketing Dept. to ensure sales objective is met and sharing of marketing / customer information.
o Keep communication with AR (Accounts) to ensure payment delivery is being met and review on customer financial status regularly.
o Close interface with Customer Service team to ensure delivery commitment to customer and pull-in activities to increase sales.
o Interface with Technical Team to develop demo & jig / support product information/ samples/ communication with Japan engineers.
(3) PERSONNEL / STAFFS MANAGEMENT
o Recommend & arrange relevant training for staff.
o Organise technical training for staffs / Sales Distributors / Sales Agents.
o Organise sales team for regular sales & marketing activities review.
o Monitor sales team activities & progress and report to respective Manager / General Manager.
o Coordination within staffs to Management / Accounts / Human Resource.
o Assist to Manager on the annual Promotion / Increment / Bonus exercises.
o Min Diploma qualification with relevant areas of studies.
o At least 3 years of working experiences in electronics industry is preferred.
